Garlic Lemon Roasted Broccoli

This recipe is a great way to fancy up a side of broccoli. This would make a healthy snack too.

You could also try this with broccolini.




2 heads of broccoli, cut into florets

2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground black pepper

2 cloves of garlic, minced

½ teaspoon lemon juice or as much as you like to taste



  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius
  2. In a bowl, toss the broccoli, olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic. Line a baking tray with paper. Spread the broccoli out on the tray.
  3. Bake the broccoli until it is tender enough to pierce with a fork. (20-25 mins)
  4. Remove from oven and place in a serving bowl or platter, squeeze a generous amount of lemon juice over the broccoli before serving.
