What is the best way to heat the meals?

All Prep meals come in biodegradable bamboo containers that can go in the freezer/fridge/microwave and oven for your convenience, just peel off the label and leave leave the lid on when heating.

HEATING FROM FROZEN

BEST RESULTS ARE TO DEFROST FOR 10 MINUTES then: Open the lid, pour 1 tablespoon of water on the meal then replace the lid and heat (this stops the freezer frost and ensures an evenly heated meal).

MICROWAVE

CURRIES, STIR-FRYS:  we recommend using a microwave and meals will be ready in under 7 minutes from frozen. Pop meals in microwave on HIGH with the lid left on and after 3 minutes give them a stir to ensure the meals get heated evenly…continue this for another minute or two until your meal is piping hot all over.

MEET FANTASY AND CASHEW LENTIL:  defrost for 10 minutes then cut in half (if we haven’t already done it for you. Heat on high for 3 minutes with the lid on then make a hole with a knife in the middle of each piece and heat for a further minute or two and ensure its piping hot all over.

FITNESS MEALS: Heat on high for 3 minutes with lid on, then give a stir and then heat for a further minute or two and ensure its piping hot all over.

BREAKY BURRITOS: take tin foil off and heat on high for 2 minutes and 30 seconds (time may vary between different appliances).

RICE/QUINOA needs a tablespoon of water on top before heating.

Also you can get your frozen meal out in the morning and take it to work to have for lunch, it will be partially defrosted when its time to heat it so will only need 2-3 minutes and ensure you stir and get the meal piping hot all over.

OVEN

Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius and pop your meal in with the lid left on for 20-30 minutes from frozen. Half way through make a little hole in the middle to ensure it gets heated right throughout and put the lid back on. If already defrosted heat for 10-15 minutes.

FOR BEST FAST RESULTS ZAP IN THE MICROWAVE FOR A FEW MINS AND THEN FINISH OFF IN THE OVEN

BREAKY BURRITOS: These are best heated from frozen with the tin foil wrapper left on in the oven for 25-30 minutes at 220 degrees celsius.

FRESH

1-2 minutes in the microwave on HIGH (stirring half way) with the lid left on. 10-15 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (stirring half way) with the lid left on). If there’s rice or quinoa pour a tablespoon of water on first before heating.

If a meal is half and half take the salad out before heating or just heat the patties/slices but not the salad!

SMOOTHIES

Put frozen smoothie contents in a blender ensuring you scrape out the coconut water powder like gel and add 200mls of water, blend until smooth and add more water if you want a thinner smoothie.

All cooking appliances vary so please heat/blend accordingly to yours.
